About TIPPR
Tippr was born inside the software company Kashless, Inc. that provides local marketplace solutions. Kashless develops software to enable local marketplaces including a local classified system, postage via e-mail infrastructure, and more. We came up with the idea of Tippr after talking with hundreds of local merchants and thousands of local customers about how to engage more deeply in their local communities. We heard two common themes: Local merchants are longing for cost effective, measurable advertising that will guarantee customers will walk in the door.
Every individual we talked with expressed a desire to discover and experience their local merchant community more fully. Out of these insights was born Tippr.com, a site on which local merchants and consumers can come together for major mutual benefit. After a few months of success with Tippr.com, we took group buying to the next level with PoweredByTippr–a technology and service platform that brings local merchants new customers, local consumers great deals, and local publishers new revenue.
