About LIVESTRONG
LIVESTRONG serves people fighting cancer and empowers them to take action. We work to fundamentally change the expectations and experience of living with cancer through unity, knowledge and attitude. We provide the practical information and tools people with cancer need to live life on their own terms. We unite people to fight cancer and pursue an agenda focused on: -Prevention -Access to screening and care -Improvement of the quality of life for cancer survivors -Investment in research Founded in 1997 by cancer survivor and champion cyclist Lance Armstrong, LIVESTRONG is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Austin, Texas.
Our mission is at the heart of our organization and it is our mission that moves the hearts of our constituents and team members. We are a “service organization” that provides compassionate support to individuals and their loved ones who are affected by cancer. We inspire and empower team members to create a culture of creativity and innovation to support our mission. LIVESTRONG’s CORE Values are as follows: 1. We change the way the world fights cancer. 2.
